Malignant hyperthermia is a rare but critical condition that requires emergency supplies nearby and at the proper temperature for effective treatment. Harloff’s malignant hyperthermia cart features an industry leading 1.0 cubic feet medical grade Follett® refrigerator to ensure temperature control for insulin, cold packs and cold saline solutions. Two 6″ high drawers are secured with a key lock for storage of injectables, syringes, catheters, NG tubes, filters, and other necessary supplies. Each cart also includes a hospital grade power strip, a white plastic top, premium 5″ casters, 20-gauge heat sealed powder coat steel construction in your choice of color and a robust twelve year manufacturer’s warranty.
MH carts should be present wherever drugs that trigger malignant hyperthermia are present, and dantrolene should be available within 10 minutes from the point of decision to treat a patient for MH according to MHAUS recommendations. To remain in compliance with Joint Commission requirements, malignant hyperthermia carts help you to follow clinical guidelines from the AANA (American Association of Nurse Anesthetists) and MHAUS (Malignant Hyperthermia Association of the United States).
Malignant Hyperthermia Carts combine storage space for syringes, IV supplies, Dantrolene and sterile water combined with refrigerated storage for insulin, ice packs and saline.
